When I graduated from college, I sent my resume in a thousand directions, but ultimately landed a job in the city closest to my home town - Buffalo. After a few moves, I've found myself living in a large, creaky family home in North Tonawanda.
Although I'd visited my grandmother in North Tonawanda, I had never taken the time to discover the city. Now that I live here, I've experienced the charm and fun of this historic town. At 31,501 residents, it's just big enough to have a variety of interesting activities to choose from, but small-town enough to know the names of the cashiers at the local grocery store.
There are many quaint restaurants, stores, clubs, and festivals here. Most don't have an Internet presence. With the help of my sister Hilary, we're going to explore North Tonawanda and blog about it. We want to get to the core of what makes it so fun to live here, and we'll tell you what we find out.
